New ways in tumor therapy and prevention

The researches about the biological effect of the deuterium depleted water started 11 years ago, in 1990. We were looking for answers for the question: what kind of role has deuterium in controlling the physiological processions in live organism (because deuterium is in our body in 10 mmol/l concentration).

There were numerous independent experiment, which showed that deuterium depleted water (Dd-water, DDW) has no toxic effects (in vitro, Ames-test, experiments with mice, the American Onchotech Inc. “In vitro drug response assay” [DiSCTM] system, experiments with dogs and cats, human Phase II.). In vitro we found that the cell division depends on deuterium concentration. The consume of deuterium depleted water slowed down, stopped or even turned back the growth of the tumor in mice with transplanted human tumors. The product was licensed in 1999 as an anti tumor animal medicine. The VETERA-DDW-25Z A.U.V. (13/99 Foldmuvelesi- es Videkfejlesztesi Miniszterium = Ministry of Agricultural and Rural Development) is approachable for veterinary surgeons from the autumn of 1999. During the last two years this medicine was effective in a wide scale of tumorous diseases.
The Phase II. began after the permission of the OGYI (=National Institute of Pharmacy) 5621/40/95.; it was over in 2000. There was betterment by 7 patients from 22 (31,8%) in the group, which was consuming the agent and 1 from 22 (4,55%) in the control group (p=0,046). In the first year there were less dies in the first group; 2 patients died in the treated group and 9 in the control group (mortality rate: p=0,034; survive: 283 days; average agent rate p=0,014). Urination problems were disappeared by 8 people in the first group; there was no change in the control group.The product for human is not available yet, but there is Preventa-105, the deuterium depleted drinking water. 重水素減少水の生物学的影響に関する研究は、11年前の1990年に開始されました。

数多くの独自の実験が行なわれましたが、重水素減少水(Ddウォーター、DDW)がインビトロ実験、エームス試験、マウス実験、米国オンコテック社の“インビトロ・ドラッグレスポンス分析”[DiSCTM]システム、犬と猫の実験、人間の第２相試験において有害でないという実験結果を得ました。また、インビトロ実験において細胞分裂が重水濃度に影響を受けていることが分かりました。重水素減少水を取り込むことにより、人間の腫物を移植したマウスにおいて腫瘍の成長は遅くなったり、止まったり、腫瘍が縮小したりしました。製品は腫瘍に対する動物用医薬品として1999年に認可されました。VETERA-DDW-25Z A.U.V.(13/99のFoldmuvelesi- es Videkfejlesztesi Miniszterium=農業開発省)は、1999年の秋から獣医が入手可能となりました。過去2年間、この医薬品は腫瘍の病気に関して広範囲に渡り有効でした。第２相試験はOGYI(国立薬学研究所) 5621/40/95の認可後、開始されました。試験は2000年に終わりました。DDWを飲んでいた22人のグループ中で7人(31.8%)の患者に改善が見られたのに対し、飲んでいないグループ(p=0.046)では改善がみられたのは22人中１人（4.55%）だけでした。
最初の年はDDWを飲んだグループの中で死亡した患者は少なく、ＤＤＷを飲んだグループのうち2人の患者が死亡したのに対して、飲んでいないグループは９人死亡しました。

排尿に関する問題は、DDWを飲んだグループ中、8人が解消しましたが、飲まなかったグループでは解消されませんでした。この製品はまだ人間への利用はできませんが、人間用のPreventa-105(重水素減少水)があります。(ライセンス番号:5−1573/99)
