An opportunity
Anchor: Deuterium depleted water is not a cure-all, but it could be a possible new way for the patients who are suffering from cancer, if it would be licensed as a human medicine- vets and doctors told this and they have experiences for 11 years.
Reporter: Deuterium depleted water is licensed as an animal medicine. Dr. Tamas Juhasz uses it as a complementary medicine, because as he says it is almost impossible that animals don’t get any deuterium from their surround.
Dr. Tamas Juhasz (vet): If this water were everywhere, it could work perfectly, but unfortunately there is not deuterium depleted water in our food and in the air, so I think that this product can be just an additive treatment.
Reporter: But the observations of the vets are very favorable even by breast cancers. There were clinical experiments with humans from 1995. So-called double blind test was made on the Urology Department of the St. John Hospital with patients who suffered from prostate tumor.
Dr. Imre Guller (urologist): One half of the patients got normal water, the other half of them got deuterium depleted water. We found prosperous results after the assessment of the experiment at those people, who were treated with Dd-water.
Reporter: This can be a possible solution for the patients, which we shouldn’t miss out- this is the opinion of the specialists who participated in the experiment.
Dr. Gabor Somlyai (the head of the experiments): If there will be no real breakthrough on the frontline of the official admission of the Dd-water, human doctors won’t be able to use deuterium depleted water as a treatment.
Reporter: The product, which they want to license as a medicine, has much lower deuterium content than the product, which is already available as a food supplement. This latter can be effective in the prevention just like the salt poor dietary by the danger of high blood pressure. The price of prevention could be moderated if they could license it as a medicine.
